Project completion – Roocycle Arris rail fence, Jellicoe Park

Moodie Outdoor Products recently completed the installation of this Roocycle ET Arris Rail Fence at Jellicoe Park – Pagewood, NSW.

The project involved installing 100 lineal metres and was constructed using Roocycle ET recycled plastic materials with galvanised steel mesh infill panels. This fence has the added benefit of diverting plastic waste materials that were destined for landfill.

Council had also installed Roocycle fencing in other areas of the park in 2018.

Project completion – custom walkway to bridge connection

Moodie Outdoor Products successfully designed and installed a custom walkway and bridge connection in Granville, NSW. Walkway was constructed using Roocycle recycled plastic as bearers, and FRP for the joists and decking.

The site was challenging being situated alongside a storm water channel. The soil was loose fill and required screw pier foundations down to as much as 6 metres to meet engineers specifications. The bicycle compliant rail was a Moddex galvanised steel BS45 bike rail balustrade.

Architectural K9 dog agility park

Moodie Outdoor Products recently delivered a custom architectural K9 dog agility park in Victoria. The brief involved combining Roocycle recycled plastic with Corten steel, and introducing softer lines into our traditional K9 dog agility park components. The result was a distinctive looking dog agility park blended within the surrounding environment.

Rounded shapes resulted in softer looking dog agility equipment blending with the surrounding environment.

Custom design bench in Rose Bay

Moodie Outdoor Products recently delivered the design and installation of this unique custom bench seat at Rose Bay for Woollahra Council. Using recycled plastic material and integrating the bench design with planter boxes, this bench seat adds some flair to the bustling shopping strip.

Woollahra Council’s requirement was to use recycled plastic for long-life and low maintenance. The Roocycleplas product is versatile to meet the needs of this custom project and reflects the incorporation of 3 tonnes of recycled plastics into a new community facility.

Recycled Plastic Fence Posts

Moodie Outdoor Products is currently stocking the Roocycle RP Rural Fence Posts. Roocycle RP fence posts are made from sustainable recycled plastic and are currently used for:

  • rural / farming fence posts – including horse studs and vineyards
  • oyster leases and other marine applications
  • fencing for council parklands, playgrounds and walkways
  • landscape gardening and erosion prevention
  • public spaces (bollards, fences)

These fence posts are 100% sustainable recycled plastic, from engineering grade polymer material (plastics), which has been CSIRO tested for durability and proven to be sustainable and last for more than 50 years.

The splined end of the 104mm diameter post allows for easy pile driving of the posts into the ground.

Roocycle Bridge for Taronga Zoo

Moodie Outdoor Products recently completed the supply and installation of a small Pedestrian Bridge in the rain forest bird aviary at Taronga Park Zoo. The existing timber bridge was dilapidated and slippery as it was in the rain forest environment.

The 3.2m long x 2.1m wide timber bridge was replaced with Roocycle ET structure and handrail with Roocycle EN 150×50 decking boards treated with Traction Sealer to achieve P5 slip rating. Also installed was the stainless steel cable balustrade.

Project Completion – Emerald Hills Stage 2 Pedestrian Bridge

Moodie Outdoor Products has recently completed the installation of the Emerald Hills Stage 2 Pedestrian Bridge. This was a design and construct project.

The bridge itself is 22m long and 2.8m wide. It features galvanised steel posts, bearers and cycle rails. Joists are Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic. Decking and handrail posts are Roocycle ET. Balustrading is powdercoated black with Corten steel infill panels featuring the Emerald Hills logo.

Roocycle Boardwalk and Fence

Moodie Outdoor Products has recently completed the installation of a Roocycle Boardwalk and associated fencing at the Emerald Hills Estate, Leppington.

The boardwalk is 30m long and 3.2m wide. It features concrete columns (above 1 in 100 yr flood level), hot dip galvanised steel posts and bearers. Joists are FRP material with Roocycle ET used for the posts, decking and handrail. Balustrading is black pool style fence with custom corten steel Emerald Hills logo inserts.

A matching style fence was also installed in the vicinity of the boardwalk. The end result is striking to say the least.
