Moodie Outdoor Products supplied the 1D2A Hillier restroom structure installed at Tillack Park, Mansfield, Qld. The restroom was manufactured by Outside Products. This modular restroom building is compliant with AS1428.1:2009, Design for Access and Mobility, and designed to CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) principles.

Positioned adjacent to an extensive parkland reserve and walking track, the restroom is equipped with one disabled cubicle with internal wash basin and baby change table, and two ambulant cubicles. An external wash basin services the ambulant cubicle users and park users. The skillion roof provides ample rain and sun protection, while natural light is achieved through positioning of the opaque polycarbonate roof panels over each cubicle.

The restroom was manufactured by Outside Products, and is factory assembled and positioned onto site via crane. This modular restroom building is compliant with AS1428.1:2009, Design for Access and Mobility, and designed to CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) principles.

Moodie Outdoor Products supplied the 1D3A Hillier restroom structure installed at Sue Savage Park, Toongabbie, NSW. The restroom was manufactured by Outside Products. This modular restroom building is compliant with AS1428.1:2009, Design for Access and Mobility, and designed to CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) principles.

The installation involved connecting the toilets to a septic system with dual pump out stations. The internal walls used Impax Panels for high vandal resistance. The external cladding was NewTech Poly woodline panels made from wood-plastic composites. Tiled flooring was used throughout. Natural light is achieved through positioning of the opaque polycarbonate roof panels over each cubicle

Moodie Outdoor Products supplied the 1D1A Transportable Factory-assembled Westwood restroom structure installed at Homestead Park, Flagstone, Qld. The restroom was manufactured by Outside Products. The restroom was factory-assembled and installed via crane into position. The Northlight verandah is installed on-site and adds additional sun coverage during the afternoon setting sun. A vinyl screen print on the front and side wall adds colour and vibrancy with a design to reflect the local community context.

Interior features of the ambulant cubicle included Colorbond Panelrib cladding, handrails, stainless steel pan, sharps chute into service duct, and double toilet roll holder.

The interior of the disabled cubicle included a recessed baby change table, and sensor taps on the basins.

Moodie Outdoor Products recently completed the supply of a 1D Hillier Restroom with skillion roof and vinyl screen print wrap at Sweetgum Park in Logan Council.

Custom restroom installation at Sturt Park, Telopea

Moodie Outdoor Products successfully installed a custom Outside Products restroom and storage shed at Sturt Park, Telopea. The restroom brief included design of two lockable maintenance equipment storage areas that was to be integrated into the twin toilet blocks.

Custom restroom with Gull Wing roof style to enable covered seating area between the two toilet blocks.

The custom spec included:

  • 1D3A restrooms with Gull Wing roof style
  • ‘NewTechWood’ Wood Plastic Composite cladding on exterior walls in teak colour
  • Steel frame powdercoated in black colour
  • Impax panels on internal walls, painted in natural white colour

Restroom art

A novel approach has been used by Brisbane City Council to add an impressive artwork to their 1D2A Burley restroom at Musgrave Park. The Council commissioned First Nations artist Dylan Bolger to paint the toilet block with a mural featuring the Aboriginal flag colours with the underlying motif of the Macaranga leaf.
