Roocycle Access Ramp

Moodie Outdoor Products has recently completed the installation of an access ramp to a private residence in Eastwood. Unfortunately, our client suffered an illness that left him confined to a wheelchair and a disabled access ramp was required to enable entry from the footpath to the house.

Excavation was required through the garden with the sub-floor structure hugging the ground and some retaining walls installed. Roocycle ET was the perfect structural choice as it will never be affected by termites or moisture. Roocycle Enviro decking was installed as it has the required slip rating to comply and the entire structure has engineers certification. In total, 3.9 tonnes of material was diverted from landfill in completing this project.

Project Completion – Waverley Cemetery Roocycle Arris Rail Fence

Moodie Outdoor Products has recently completed the replacement of the fencing surrounding the Waverley Cemetery. In total there was roughly 600m of fencing that required upgrading.

As you can see from the above photo the existing timber fence is showing its age and is rotten and sagging in most places. Council chose to replace the fence with the Moodie Roocycle Arris Rail Fence. The benefit of going with Roocycle materials is that they require no ongoing maintenance, will never rot, resistant to termite attack and are a sustainable solution. Not only that, but it looks great too!

In total, approximately 16.5 tonnes of waste will be diverted from landfill as a result of this project.

Roocycle EN Penseur Seat

Project Completion – Newbury Ave Gazebo

Moodie Outdoor Products has recently completed the rebuilding of the Gazebo at Newbury Ave, Stanhope Gardens. Visible from Old Windsor Road the Gazebo would be recognisable from the large water jet fountain that rises up from the lake behind it. However, the constant spray from the fountain caused the hardwood decking and hardwood substructure to completely rot out making the gazebo a hazard to the public.

Moodie’s was commissioned to replace the structure using its range of Roocycle products. The fact that Roocycle does not abosrb water, does not require any maintenance, will not rot and is termite resistant meant that Roocycle was the obvious choice to re-build the gazebo. Roocycle posts have been concreted into the lake bed and have been used to support the decking substructure that is also 100% Roocycled. Roocycle EN grey decking and roof slats were added as the final piece of the puzzle. In total 6 tonnes of waste product has been diverted from landfill in completing this project!!

Roocycle EN – Australian Made Recycled WPC

Moodie Outdoor Products has added Roocycle EN to its range of recycled WPC materials. Made in Australia, you can be comfortable in the fact that recycled Australian materials are being utilised rather than the material ending up as landfill.

Roocycle EN has all the attributes that make Roocycle materials so great.

EnviroPaver – Sustainable Permeable Paving

Available from Moodie Outdoor Products is the Roocycle EnviroPaver made from 100% recycled plastic. The EnviroPaver is the sustainable choice when selecting permeable pavers. The EnviroPaver can withstand truck loading making it ideal for use in commercial areas as well as in residential applications. Some of these include:

Intensive use car parking
Truck parking
Coach parks
Heavy use pedestrian paths
Fire access routes
Loading bays
Access routes for pumping stations, solar farms and electric relay stations.
Drives and Driveways where access to sceptic or oil tanks is needed

The EnviroPaver features a smooth side or a rippled non-slip side that is great for areas where slip hazard is a concern i.e. footpaths, inclined driveways. Other features of the EnviroPaver include:

UV stabilisation to stop degradation by sunlight

The design of the EnviroPaver allows excellent stability resisting and negating dynamic and lateral loadings so the gravel or soils and paver remains in situ with little or no maintenance requirements.

Garden Edging – Sustainable to Decorative

Moodie Outdoor Products has a large range of Garden Edging products to help you neaten up your garden. The sustainable choice of edging is the Roocycle brand of edging. These edging lengths are made using recycled plastic materials. Project Completion – Corpus Christie Catholic Primary School – Roocycle Access Ramp

Moodie Outdoor Products recently completed a project for Corpus Christie Catholic Primary School. The school required an ramp with disable access to join 2 x levels within the school grounds.

The ramp would also be required to retain soil as there was a garden that divided the 2 x levels. Roocycled wpc materials ticked all the boxes as the product is non-permeable, will not rot, split, crack or warp. It is manufactured from co-mingled particles of wood waste and recycled plastic.

The popular combination of Roocycle ET for the structure and Enviro decking was used for the construction. Engineering certification was provided for the design and the ramp was constructed to a 1:14 gradient with level landings where required.

In total 4.8 tonnes of material was diverted from landfill to complete this project.
